This blog has stagnated in silence for quite some time now. Life has continued in the meantime, with me doing my best to keep my head above water. Some days are better than others.
Here is a photo that marks an eventful day, but with the outcome still uncertain. My daughter Hannah snapped this picture just before we left for school on September 8 -- the day I had my interview with Governor Jan Brewer. I honestly was so nervous I could hardly sleep the night before, and all the nooks and crannies of my cranium were crammed full of so many bits and pieces of information and preparation. I had my interview at 9:30, and by 10:15, it was over. We met in her working office at the State Capitol.
How did it go? Well, I didn't trip on my feet or stumble on my words. Now I'm left hoping and praying and obsessing, replaying every word, gesture and intonation in a never-ending mental loop. She leaves for China on September 14 to handle some state business, and I'm hoping to hear something before then. Fingers, toes and every hair on my head crossed. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst!

POTD over at Becky Higgins
Thought I pop back over here to say that Becky Higgins shared my POTD (picture of the day) today (taken by daughter Hannah) over on her Facebook page as an idea for capturing the details of your life. If you don't know about Becky Higgins, she has a great product called Project Life and offers all sorts of inspiration for documenting your life.

Visual Trick -- Happiness
How great is a super-huge mirror that lets me feel surrounded by books as I walk down the hall? Pretty great.
